I was sitting around, bored out of my mind last night in quarantine and got to thinking about fast running backs from the SEC. Considering there isn’t much else to think about right now that is as stimulating as fast ass SEC running backs, the first one to pop into my mind was Jeff Demps from the Florida Gators.
Then I remembered….there were two of those fast ass running backs on that Florida roster. The Other: CHRIS RAINEY!
I personally believe this tandem will go down as the fastest backfield in the history of the SEC. Felix Jones and Darren McFadden are a VERY close second, but these two were OFF THE CHARTS with quickness and breakaway top end speed. Literally splitting secondaries that are actually in motion, not standing still. Demps and Rainey would blow right by them like a fart in the wind. It was a thing of beauty, to be quite frank.
But…..then I remembered…..THERE WAS ANOTHER SPEED DEMON ON THAT FLORIDA ROSTER. #25 BRANDON JAMES!!!!
It’s a crying shame that Percy Harvin had just turned pro before they ALL were together on that roster. BY FAR THE FASTEST FOOTBALL TEAM COLLEGE FOOTBALL HAS EVER SEEN! HANDS DOWN! I hated this Florida Gator team. Despised them. Aaron Hernandez and Racist Riley Cooper were also on that roster. Loaded with talent, but also loaded with loons. What else do you expect from the Gators?!?
