The face of the Rams franchise in Los Angeles is no longer.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Rams are releasing star RB Todd Gurley today.
The move comes before a $10.5M chunk of Gurley’s contract was to become fully guaranteed. While releasing Gurley of course saves the the Rams money, an area where they needed help in, one of the league’s top rushers when healthy will be moving on to a new team.
Sources told ATP that the Atlanta Falcons are ‘extremely’ interested in acquiring Todd Gurley.
The Rams also released OLB Clay Matthews on Thursday.
